Abenda and Abednego Sohn’s series In Ke In Baa Ke ("Me and My Father") explores the artist’s relationship with his father after being separated for seventeen years due to the Liberian civil war. The series chronicles their efforts to rebuild their connection and make up for lost time through a collaborative project in which they recreate moments from Abednego’s life. In this project, the artist dresses as his father, and his father takes the photographs. The resulting images depict moments the artist did not experience physically with his father, presented through staged photography accompanied by reflective text and archival photos
